Privacy Policy:

Please be aware of the following information regarding LUME HEALING services. Personal information that is relevant to your current situation will be collected and recorded. This information is a necessary part of assessment and treatment. You may access the material recorded in your file upon request, subject to exceptions in National Privacy Principle 6. 2.

Confidentiality:

All personal information gathered by the practitioner during provision of service will remain confidential and secure except when: a) It is subpoenaed by court. b) Your prior written approval has been obtained to: i. Provide a written report to another professional or agency (I.e., lawyer, doctor) ii. Discuss the material with another person (I.e., employer, partner) c) Failure to disclose the information would place you or another person at risk. d) In Victoria, under section 182 and 184 of the Children Youth and Families Act 2005, mandated reporters must make a report to Child Protection, if in the course of practising their profession or carrying out employment or office duties, they form a reasonable belief, that a child has been or is at risk of significant harm, as a result of physical or sexual abuse, and the child’s parents have not protected or are unlikely to protect the child from that abuse.


Note: To maintain high standards of practice your practitioner may at times need to consult with a colleague who is similarly bound by confidentiality. They shall ensure that no identifiable data is discussed.
